Origins of name[edit]

Discussion about the origins of the name 'Bainville' should be held on this page--not on the article page. Currently, the only citation provided is from www.montanahistory.net which appears to be condensed from the 1957 Montana Almanac. On the currently cited webpage it says, 'named for C. M. Bainville a local resident of that section'. If this is not the case, then additional cited sources will need to be provided, not just the uncited claim that Bainville was named for Charles Bain. I realize it doesn't seem logical for the namesake of a town to end with the suffix '-ville', but that just adds to my curiosity to find a source. Always ask yourself, 'How do I know this fact?' and 'Where can I find a written source for what I know?' --Ltvine | Talk 20:55, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The correct name is C.M. Bain. See Roosevelt Country Treasured Years page pages 181 - 186. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KaitAdkins (talkcontribs) 04:26, 6 July 2014 (UTC) great town —Preceding unsigned comment added by Casperwy1 (talkcontribs) 21:31, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
