Town? Village?[edit]

The article keeps referring to Bagshot as a town, but the websites call it a village. Which is it?--Kotniski (talk) 18:03, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To answer this please understand that the hierarchy for local government for Bagshot is Parish (Windlesham), then Bourgh (SHBC), then County (SCC).

The Parish Council calls Bagshot a village:

“Situated in the Borough of Surrey Heath, Windlesham Parish Council serves a population of approximately 17,000 people covering the three VILLAGES of Bagshot, Lightwater and Windlesham.”

    • I could go on and find more references but if the government, the people and the media call it a village, then it’s a village.
