E92[edit]

163hp/120Kw engine[edit]

I think that the 163hp/120Kw engine has 340 Nm.

1.6 Litre version question[edit]

Isn't the N47 Available as a 1.6 litre capacity in the MINI Countryman D and MINI One D aswell, or is this a different engine altogether. Incorrect update to section "Timing Chain Problems"?[edit]

The section on timing chain problems has been updated and cites a BBC Watchdog article. Having read the article I've concluded that there is no justification for the addition of "UPDATE - It now seems that there are issues appearing with a limited number of engines manufactured after the supposed safe date of 01.03.2011" to the Wikipedia page.

The article does say that a used car bought in 2011 with 100,000 miles already on the clock had a timing chain problem. Later on the article describes the same car as being 5 years old; with the article being dated June 2013 that would mean the car was manufactured in 2008. The article also reports that a low mileage car experienced the same issue, but does not say how old the car was.

Toyota engine[edit]

BMW also made N47uL, N47oL, N47S & N47C variants which are not listed in the article.
