Quick question[edit]

This is more of a series question than an article question, but if an answer exists it might be good to place in. Why are some of the Gundam timelines not represented in Sangokuden? So far we have UC, AC and AW. However, there doesn't seem to be anything from FC, CC, CE or AD. Now AD (Gundam 00) I can understand because the show started after Sangokuden. But why no presence from the others? Especially since this is supposed to be a big anniversary celebration series. Saving them for later on?--HellCat86 (talk) 20:13, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Probably as you say, saving them for later. Not sure how many chapter are planned for it but RoTK seem to have a pretty big cast. What I feel is that Sangokuden have taken over from Sengokuden which have 11 chapters under it. I guess there will be a chance for them. Iron2000 (talk) 12:44, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think they're definetly commited to it to some degree. There was continuity between Maruden/Retsuden/Banchou but pretty loose and Bandai seemed to eventually ignore Banchou (only got 4 kits after all). I think at least they're going to do a big multi-year adapatation since it's the anniversary series. We know that they've got stuff planned at least until the end of this year. The promos have been hinting at what looks to be the big final villains and I believe the most recent Gundam Ace had a clear image of Virsago.--HellCat86 (talk) 14:38, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Kakuka Virsago had already appear in Gekitotsu Hen though not very often and the Nu Gundam mask of Koumei is touched on in chapter 5 of Gekitotsu. Actually I don't really like Mushamaruden and Banchou, Retsuden was ok. So far Sangokuden has a closer feel to the old school Sengokuden. Anyway for Sangokuden, Gekitotsu Hen should last for this year, they probably would start a new chapter for next year. For this year there should be 2 more PVs. -- Iron2000 (talk) 04:12, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SDGF homage?[edit]

Wondering if we should add this. Elements of Ryofu's design (specifically the feet) are quite close to the design of Griffin Tallgeese from SD Gundam Force.--HellCat86 (talk) 12:36, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it should be added. The designs are similar because they are both based on Tallgeese. For the single clawed feet maybe its coincidence or maybe inspiration. Well theres not really any official say on it being homage and it isn't really important. The design of Zero the Winged Knight in SDGF is a total ripoff of Knight Wing Zero of Eiyuuden - Iron2000 (talk) 19:21, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's true. Alot of designs in SDGF are taken from earlier series, like Zapper Zaku being G-ARMS' Commander Bloody Zaku. With Tallgeese it just struck me because I don't believe there have been many Tallgeeses in SD other than Ryofu, Knight and the one from an older Musha Gundam story.--HellCat86 (talk) 19:38, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just took out my Eiyuuden cards and rediscovered that Storm Knight Tallgeese and Bakunatsumaru are also lifted off from Eiyuuden designs. Yup, there have been a few Tallgeese in the SD stories. As Tallgeese designs they all have the base shape of Tallgeese. - Iron2000 (talk) 04:59, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gundam Ace chapter[edit]

I don't think the article mentions this but around the time the second part of the story started, Gundam Ace published a one shot chapter starring the three brothers. It seems to be set during their travels between the first two parts of the story and basically just 'advertises' the three of them. Is it worth putting some kind of mention in the article?--HellCat86 (talk) 15:34, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does it feature any new characters, any significant events? If not maybe its not worth the mention. Iron2000 (talk) 01:58, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tengyokugai[edit]

Has anyone worked out what Tengyokugai Shinbu (turtle form) is based on yet? Nobody on the net seems to know, the closest I can figure out would be Gundam Epyon in Mobile Armor form. :http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10026639a1/20/2 Another possibility would be Gundam Griepe in transport mode. :http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10021826a/20/1 Aaron Hong (talk) 08:20, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MA Epyon would be my guess. Tallgeese has elements of Epyon in his design, such as the heat whip and purple hue on his head crest. However, there are various elements of the story that don't seem to make sense until later. Case in point, Virsago was shown flying alongside a Musha Neue Ziel in front of a flying castle in last year's promo animations. That's yet to be touched on in the story.--HellCat86 (talk) 12:46, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We may have an answer. In the latest PV, which recounts the first part of the story, Sonken is seen combining with it in this form. It may well be that it's the Tengyokugai's default form and it changes to a specific/usable one when joined with each of the three heirs. The manga would also support this, since it divided itself between Ryuubi and Sousou at the end of volume 2.--HellCat86 (talk) 20:39, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On the subject of Ryofu Tallgeese - I just got the set and I was wondering, what's the alternate Gundam-ish mouthpiece about? Aaron Hong (talk) 16:33, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Promo armour[edit]

I don't believe we currently have a real mention of this- http://omocyanosiro.sakura.ne.jp/BBsennshi-tenngaisou-REB.html It was one of the incentives to keep people to double dip on kits. The top image seems to have an in-story profile for it.--HellCat86 (talk) 15:47, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have this armor set. Might write on it when i have the time. -- Iron2000 (talk) 04:14, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You do? Whilst greatly appreciating the work you put into the SD articles, I now officially hate you :p--HellCat86 (talk) 18:27, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't hate me!! :P Well, the promotion was on in department stores here some time ago. Can't let the chance slip. Even bought a few repeated kits to get the full set within the promo period.--Iron2000 (talk) 14:21, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No page for BB Senshi Sengokuden?[edit]

I'm curious, with the Sangokuden page, I was wondering why there is no Sengokuden page? Doesn't anyone want to make one yet?210.4.127.115 (talk) 11:13, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the main Musha Gundam page is the Sengokuden page. The pages for each of the Sengokuden chapters are there too. - Iron2000 (talk) 23:17, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Except that they're missing the current Sengokuden line, Bushin Kourin, which follows Sangokuden's lead in drawing upon the character designs in Koei's games for historic characters, like Takeda Shingen, Oda Nobunaga and others... and follows Gaiden's lead in remolding older SD Gundams I might add. Aaron Hong (talk) 08:20, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The thing is, as far as I'm aware it has no plot. It's just old Mushas slightly retooled as actual historical samurai. If there's no actual plot behind being an edutainment series, I think the section I added to Musha Retsuden should cover it. An individual page would be light on information, leading to a very likely deletion (especially here on Wikipedia, where certain biases rule anyway).--HellCat86 (talk) 12:08, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BB Senshi Sangokuden Gaiden[edit]

Well, I was thinking... Since we have a model kit listing for Gaiden within the main Sangokuden page, what about adding the story behind Gaiden, and introduce the Gaiden characters as well? -- SDGundamFan (talk) 13:45, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm waiting to see how the JA wiki article handle the Gaiden part. Currently they have the Gaiden stuff with the main stuff on the same page. -- Iron2000 (talk) 16:43, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just added the Gaiden info according to the JA wiki. Only Kouseki has the actor field as the others are remolds. Um..please don't add in unless its from official sources. Thanks. -- Iron2000 (talk) 12:36, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, since I only update when I get the kits themselves, or from a SD Gundam forum that I frequented. -- SDGundamFan (talk) 14:09, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I added some stuff on the design origins for the models that the Gaiden characters were remolded from. Since they're going through the redesign mill the second time round, I'm not sure they qualify for the 'Actor' annotation anymore (heck, two of them originate from already-used archetypes, the GP04 and Blue Destiny.) -- Aaron Hong (talk) 12:33, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Promo weapons[edit]

I saw this at the SD Gundam forum that I frequented. The thread in question is here: http://bbs.newwise.com/thread-454681-1-1.html. You will need to register at the forum in order to view the attached pictures. It seems that between December 2009 and January 2010, there will be more freebies. 12 weapons, that can be combined in different ways, 3-in-1, to a huge 12-in-1.

Well, just a heads-up, hopefully more news will come for it. -- SDGundamFan (talk) 05:39, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They look all right on their own, but the combined forms get more and more hideous - anyways, stuff like promo weapons probably come under the 'holy artifacts' article with the Tengyokugai, etc. -- Aaron Hong (talk) 12:36, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, according to this: http://www.shengtai.com.sg/gundam/sangokuden.html Looks like I'm busy getting $100 worth of stuff for all 12... -- SDGundamFan (talk) 11:31, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Images[edit]

Anybody keen on adding images? I'm not sure how to do so at the moment, but would be keen if somebody could do up a template or point me in the right direction. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarpino (talkcontribs) 06:33, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That would be a great idea.

Anime synopsis[edit]

Hiya all. I was thinking whether we should add in a small section of the episode sypnosis of the Brave Battle Warriors anime. Anyone knows how to make one, or if we should make one? SDGundamFan (talk) 07:55, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea but I'd reccomend splitting it off into its own page. Sangokuden is already hefty enough, so BBW would benefit from a fresh page.--HellCat86 (talk) 09:23, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I'll try something then. SDGundamFan (talk) 16:41, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I have added an article to the BBW anime here, as well as the synopsis here. They are just bare bones for the moment, which I will add more information to later on. Help is definitely welcomed and appreciated. SDGundamFan (talk) 18:55, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Synopsis is up to date based on latest fansubs. Anime page is also updated with correct anime plot. Would love some help on getting the seiyuus for important characters in the anime. SDGundamFan (talk) 15:03, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And the cast list has been updated with the latest from the anime website. SDGundamFan (talk) 19:13, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Snow Armour Ryuubi & Black Ryuubi (some recycling exclusive)[edit]

Anybody able to update on these two exclusives? Have seen them in magazine scans but not entirely sure what they are.

Model kits[edit]

Hello all. I have another question. Should the model list relating to Brave Battle Warriors be separated out from the main series list, and shifted to the Brave Battle Warriors page instead? SDGundamFan (talk) 17:11, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious Characters[edit]

As was the case with List of Superior Defender Gundam Force characters, this page appears to contain large amounts of misinformation. I don't know much about these characters but... Gundam Cheesecake? Really? It seems clear to me the same vandals have hit this page as well and it is highly recommended that anyone with proper knowledge of the characters remove the vandalism and keep an eye on this page as these vandals seem to constantly apply hit and run tactics with enough time between hits to make limited time protection completely useless and Wikipedia's administration in their constant efforts to make Wikipedia what it's not supposed to be will not do anything about it. Trivia without reliable third-party sources[edit]

Zongxi re-added vast amounts of extremely badly sourced trivia with an edit summary of "suspected vandalism by Huon". If Zongxi thinks that better sources for that content can be found they are welcome to find and provide them. Beyond the lack of appropriate sources, problems with the content I removed include the excessive level of detail (see WP:WEIGHT), errors of fact (that cannot be fixed without reliable sources establishing what's correct), grammar issues reminiscent of a machine translation, and a lack of context that makes the content unreadable to someone who doesn't already know what it's about. An example from the section on Kousonsan Ez-8: "Died in the battle with the Kishuu Troops. Kousonsan and his troops announce their surrender but was tricked to drop their weapons. His men tried to protect him from the arrow shower but he went forth and too perished in the arrow shower." - I have no idea what that's supposed to say. "The" battle with Kishuu Troops? Which battle? How does it fit in the larger plot? When in the storyline does it occur? Why do those who announce their surrender have to be "tricked" into dropping their weapons? What arrow shower? That's only one example, of course; I could choose many, many others. Nothing of encyclopedic value was lost in the removal of that content. And no, it's not vandalism.
