Needs Updating[edit]

I think someone should do this article up so it better reflects what Bitesize is. It's not just a website, it's a series of TV programmes and textbooks too. The website isn't the most important part of Bitesize, either. Bitesize is about the whole "bitesize chunks" thing, and that's the same in textbooks, videos and the internet site.

They also now do podcasts.

BitesizeBBC Bitesize – BBC officially named its online learning service as BBC Bitesize, not just Bitesize [1]. 125.167.59.74 (talk) 12:19, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Vaticidalprophet 13:51, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The source you provided just has the BBC logo in the corner (as any BBC page would) and generally we look for how third parties report names rather than primary sources like BBC. The sources already on the page are pretty lacking on their own, the journal being the only non-primary source and it only cites bitesize a single time (and refers to it as Bitesize) ASUKITE 15:30, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
ASUKITE's point is completely valid. I just wanted to add that I can confirm that in the UK we know it as "BBC Bitesize" and not just "Bitesize", so the move would be fine, as long as we can source it properly. Dr. Vogel (talk) 15:46, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And the ordinary word "bitesize". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 19:54, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Giving that in the UK they called it as BBC Bitesize, i have more source about it, from example are The Independent's article about lockdown learning, The Scotsman, and many more and even social media pages. 125.167.59.74 (talk) 20:22, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Definitely the common name in the UK, where it originates. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:59, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bitesize was overnight TV programming long before being online[edit]

The article makes Bitesize seem as if it is only ever online. 2A00:23C7:9C97:5D01:6906:CFC:CA0A:2349 (talk) 11:34, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That is a big omission, if true. Do you have any sources (old news articles, books on the topic, etc.) to back up your claims. Then we (YOU too) can add it. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 15:10, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I did a bit of research and have discovered that a BBC Bitesize programme was simultaneously broadcast as the website was created (sadly no RS for this). However, I have added BBC Schools as a predecessor in the infobox as it was the BBC's original education broadcast scheme. – Berrely • TC 18:57, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bitesize did have overnight programming on BBC Two during the BBC Learning Zone slot.[2] -- AxG /   19:34, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Open University still uses old clips of Bitesize in their courses. Also there is Bitesize daily on CBBC. 86.191.21.90 (talk) 10:26, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
