Hi, I am posting a references that I will use to work on this page. Here are 3 papers I have found so far, I will continue to post references as I find them and look through them.

Here are several more resources I have looked through in writing my draft article.

Dworschak, P.C. "Infraorders Axiidea de Saint Laurent, 1979 and Gebiidea de Saint Laurent, 1979 (formerly known collectively as Thalassinidea) Treatise on Zoology - Anatomy, Taxonomy, Biology. The Crustacea, Volume 9 Part B, 2010

Based on the Dworschak "Treatise on Zoology" there are differences in what subfamilies are families within the infraorder, so I am going to edit the list of families based on this information and explain that there isn't a molecular basis for several of these subfamilies.Isabellaiwanicki (talk) 03:47, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I made some large edits to the page and filled it out. I changed the section on families based on my source, which detailed that one specific family (Gourretiidae) included in the list should not be included. I intend to give some more information on the molecular processes involved in making that decision, as it was not detailed in the source that I found. I also included sections for description, burrows, and distribution and ecology. I hope to add more information about distribution and ecology because it seems slightly short. Gourretiidae recognized as a family now?[edit]

It looks like Gourretiidae is recognized as a family now, based on the actual Gourretiidae article, and other sources, such as this one that shows Gourretiidae in the cladogram: https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rspb.2019.0079 I can't access the links referenced on the Gourretiidae page, so I can't be sure, which is why I didn't remove the statement in this article stating that it is not a separate family. So I just put a disputed tag in the article. Cougroyalty (talk) 21:04, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
