The lead says he was a colonel, the text brigadier. What is it? Creuzbourg (talk) 21:28, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Slavic name[edit]

It most certainly wasn't Slibiosiky. This name does not exist. Clear mistake, partly or fully due to retro-transliteration from Hebrew by careless and clueless editor. Maybe Slivovsky? Arminden (talk) 13:53, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Or Slivosky? Arminden (talk) 13:58, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hebrew Wikipedia currently puts his original name as סלביוסיסקי, which could be interpreted as Slibiosiski or Sliviosiski, something roughly corresponding that, the lack of vowel marks don't make it easy to tell the exact pronounciation. Until we get a handle on this I'm removing that part.--RM (Be my friend) 14:12, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Reenem, hi. No such thing. It must be a V, not a B (aren't both written with the same letter in Hebrew?), and I guess somebody overdid with the yods. Doesn't Hebrew Wikipedia indicate a source? In principle, I'm against removing it. A mistake with a 'dubious' tag activates editors; if it's fully removed nobody will think of looking up that particular detail.
