Relevant Literature[edit]

[1] This is a review of Sickle Cell Anemia and how it affects spleen function. [2] This review provides more information on autosplenectomy and how it relates to other components of Sickle Cell Anemia. [3] This paper discusses systematic lupus erythematosus and how autosplenectomy may relate to a pathogenetic process. [4] This review discusses SLE and spontaneous splenic rupture. [5] This paper focuses on splenic rupture as a result of splenic lymphoma. I'm not sure how much this paper will relate to my article, but it seems interesting.
