Am I right it means "teardrop car"? --trekphiler, 23/11/05

Racing car template[edit]

I've had a stab at a template for racing cars (see template:Racing car) to summarise the usual data. I've used the F1 templates as a starting point and applied it to the Brabham BT46 article. If anyone's got an interest in this, please have a look at the template and modify or suggest changes as appropriate. After a few people have had a go at it and we have something we're happy with we could start to use it more widely. Note that it's not meant to be specific to F1, by the way. What about street cars?[edit]

There is very little mention of Auto Union's street cars. A model that resembled a larger VW-beetle was a common sight in Argentina in the 1960s. If I am not mistaken, it had an odd number of cylinders and the trunk cover (located in the back) could be removed entirely. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Saulo35 (talkcontribs) 11:35, 13 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

  • The car you are talking of is the AU 1000, a modernised version of the DKW F93. Check the DKW site for details, and go to Wikipedia Commons to watch beautiful pictures of that car (there are some). 84.140.46.41 19:32, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Second World War[edit]

"The the Kraftfahrzeug (KFZ11)..." - that sentence needs looking at

Hmm. 1. doubled article. 2. "Kraftfahrzeug" alone is no reference to a specific model, and KFZ11 seems to refer to something different (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sd.Kfz._11) which surely wasn't used to ferry around military officials? Also what does that 'Horch Type80' refer to? Sejtam (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:10, 19 March 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Study about Auto Union's Nazi ties[edit]

Historical study commissioned by Audi shows Auto Union’s Nazi ties (more info). I think that this info have to be added. Specially in the sections where it is said that the poor executives had to flee to West Germany because the Red Army. emijrp (talk) 13:29, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
