Revision of IOC 1904 Olympics medal table that was made in July 2021[edit]

In Jule 2021 IOC modified data at Olympics.com after accepting the recommendation of Olympic historian Bill Mallon and transfer of information from Olympedia.org (the Olympic historians association website) to Olympics.com (the IOC website). In particular, with regard to Austria:

  • Gymnastics Artistic. Men's individual all-round. The gold medal won by Julius Lenhart is now attributed to Austria instead of United States.
  • Gymnastics Artistic. Men's combined 3 events. The silver medal won by Julius Lenhart is now attributed to Austria instead of United States.

Thus, a change in the overall results of Austria at the 1904 Olympics:

  • Austria: gain of 1 gold, 1 silver

About all revisions of IOC medal tables that were made in July 2021, see:

That is OK and understood. But why then the text says "Austrian gymnast Julius Lenhart [...] won two gold medals and one silver medal" (two references added)?? That would be still one more medal... ThomasPusch (talk) 05:58, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

lists 2 x gold, 1x silver and 2x bronze for Austria. That would fit. I'll adjust the table here - stating that I have no affiliation to Austria and am in no way patriotic for that team. ThomasPusch (talk) 06:03, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The reference olympics.com/en/athletes/julius-lenhart spports this counting. So then in this text still one gold event of him is missing. ThomasPusch (talk) 06:19, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
