Who thinks this vehicle should be linked to Austin light twelve?
Not me! Eddaido (talk) 04:14, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Engine Information Box[edit]

The information box detailing the engine for this vehicle is excessive and not directly related to all of the versions of the vehicle - note that the 'Austin London Taxicab' was offered with a "6" and a "12".

https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-1934-austin-six-low-loader-and-1956-austin-fx3-london-taxis-vintage-48485537.html - note the badge on the grill indicating this is a "6".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_12/6 - information regarding the 12/6. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxq32 (talkcontribs) 13:20, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Maxq32: Thank you for reviewing the images on the article. Wikipedia is not an image gallery and white space is deprecated so you should be aware that another editor may adjust those factors again.
It would be a help if you can establish the proportion of six cylinder engines actually used in these vehicles, the number still in existence is not a reliable guide. I look forward to learning this from you. Eddaido (talk) 22:49, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Revisions[edit]

As per the Wikipedia style guides, I have once again made edits to this page.

First, the lead paragraph has extraneous inforamtion that is not pertinant to the lead. As per the style guide: "The lead should stand on its own as a concise overview of the article's topic."

Second, changes to the lead photograph do a much better job of depicting the taxi's unique features, specifically the luggage storage space in the front of the taxi. The previous photo depicted the front end (Grille, headlamps, wings, etc) that could depict ANY car of the era. Again, as per the style guide on images: "Lead images should be natural and appropriate representations of the topic..."
