It strongly hints[edit]

  • "The IRA discontinued these attacks; it strongly hints that security was tighten around the Lough, especially from the Irish side, since the seaborne assaults were originated in the Republic."

I would edit this sentence for grammar, but I'm not quite sure what it means. Can somebody clarify/tidy? Scolaire (talk) 12:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's much clearer now. Thank you. Scolaire (talk) 21:07, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe not piracy?[edit]

Attacks on shipping by the IRA may not properly be classified as piracy, so maybe the piracy template does not belong on here. What do other editors think?--DThomsen8 (talk) 15:02, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I am the user who put this article under the scope of WP Piracy...I think however that I was wrong: the template is intended for "criminal acts" on the sea, a definition that falls shorts of the usual Guerrilla/Terrorism/Freedom Fighters categorization of the IRA, depending of the differents PoVs. I will remove the template immediatly. Regards.--Darius (talk) 20:56, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
