Closing and reopening[edit]

In the side bar, there is a reference to the station closing at an unknown date and reopening in 1985. As this event appears to have escaped the attention of the general railway enthusiast population, perhaps the person who added same to the site could elaborate on their source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.97.241.63 (talk) 08:58, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed these, having found CIE advertisements in newspaper archives from 1982 and 1983 for rail services that included Athy. Andrewmc (talk) 15:27, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
