Australia[edit]

Why is Australia included in the table, coloured in, with no rank? the page has no explanation. Tim (Xevious) (talk) 10:38, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They qualified but withdrew.[1] PrimeHunter (talk) 12:21, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - and thanks for adding it to the article too. Tim (Xevious) (talk) 12:43, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Does anyone know why they withdrew?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.63.190.247 (talk) 04:53, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

100 metre vs 100 metres relay[edit]

The IAAF website lists the event as the 100 "metres" relay. see here in the events timetable. I think this should be moved to Athletics at the 2008 Summer Olympics - Men's 4x100 metres relay. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 15:03, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DNF/DQ[edit]

To my non-specialist eyes, it looks surprising that 6 of the 16 teams in round 1 were either disqualified or did not finish. Is this unusual, and if so is there a reason? --Delirium (talk) 21:43, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
