Peter Buck[edit]

Peter Buck own words.[1]85.244.53.93 (talk) 23:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That link leads to an error. Besides that, I've heard it mentioned that he's Atheist, but I've never read him say that in all the interviews I've read. It's the same with Stipe; especially with some of his lyrics somewhat hinting that he has some faith. --BuddyOfHolly (talk) 02:26, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've heard him say he's "not hugely religious", but making the jump to Atheism from that is not a small leap of faith. - Dudesleeper / Talk 11:22, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But to make an assumption that he is atheist... Well, I don't wanna make a big deal about it, but I'm not hugely relgious; I'm not atheist. --BuddyOfHolly (talk) 00:59, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Q Magazine Special R.E.M. 2001(?) page 120 Top 10 Peter Buck Quotes, Question Number 3, "On Religion "I am an Atheist, but I'd probably be Christian if I was black, because the gospel music is so exciting I would never have got through that." - moodymmo / Talk 11:57, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But see, that's not online, and that quote is loaded. He could mean anything: He's obviously joking around with the mention of being black. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BuddyOfHolly (talkcontribs) 23:30, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A separate article?[edit]

Why does Atheist not deserve its own page? It redirects to Atheism, a term generally not liked by atheists as the ism suggests some kind of religion, movement or stance. I see several attempts have been made to fix this but their revisions are always undone. It should also be noted that the use of the word Atheist is far higher than that of the word Atheism.
