Importance[edit]

In my opinion this entry is not worth keeping. The Assabet Woolen Mill was a small part of the history of Maynard, Massachusetts, and that is adequately covered by the history part of the entry for the town.David notMD (talk) 22:25, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm tempted to switch that around - move the details of the Mill and its various occupants here and give highlights in Maynard, Massachusetts. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 21:08, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. Woolen mill ended operations ~1950. That means 67 years of operation as other than woolen mill (including Digital Equip Corp). All this is part of description of Maynard. Still recommend deleting this article after making sure all useful content is already in the Maynard article. David notMD (talk) 22:32, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It may be good to transfer and expand some of the history of the mill facility to this article and keep it separate. It would help so the history section of the Maynard article isn't too unwieldy. The mill seems important enough to warrant its own expanded history. Just my thoughts. Swampyank (talk) 04:53, 22 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am still of the opinion that this article is unnecessary, but will not repeat an attempt to mark it for deletion. Also of the opinion that the history of what happened in the mill buildings over the years belongs in the article about Maynard, rather than redirect here. In same vein of thought, nothing that took place in the mill complex subsequent to the end of the Assabet Woolen Mill as a business entity (1898) belongs in this article, especially as more than half the buildings were built after that year. But for now, leaving that in. David notMD (talk) 12:01, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
