Origin of his nickname[edit]

Either his nickname was inspired by an early review of the New York Dolls that described his basslines as "killer" (as several biographies around the Internet state) or the old Buck Rogers comic strip villain Killer Kane (I've never heard this one before). Which was it? Ecto 16:10, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I watched a special on TV about Arthur Kane yesterday and it said it was because of the "killer" bassline description. Meltingwax 20:03, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In the movie New York Dolls, Arthur Kane acknowledges both of these theories as correct --75.39.52.32 (talk) 13:30, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Death[edit]

Kane was murdered. No one is diagnosed with leukemia and dies two hours later.

With his history, it is likely he took matters into his own hands after the diagnosis.

Mormons tend not to kill themselves--not that talk pages are the place for such speculation. Ecto 09:40, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is pretty bizarre that someone could be diagnosed of and die from leukemia in the space of 2 hours. Just in general this article really needs some sources, citations, footnotes, something. How the writer could possibly know what "really" happened when Kane went out a window is beyond me as well. 71.63.119.49 (talk) 01:28, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Arthur Kane.jpg[edit]

Image:Arthur Kane.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
