According to ARTEMIDORO EN CLASE DE DIBUJO : UN PAPIRO CON TEXTO, MAPA Y DIBUJOS DE TIEMPO HELENÍSTICO TARDÍO, translation of ARTEMIDOR IM ZEICHENSAAL by Claudio Gallazzi and Bärbel Kramer, there is a geographer named Artemidorus of Ephesus. Is he the subject of this article?

Una feliz casualidad ha hecho que se transmita la frase inicial de la descripción de España en la columna IV como cita del libro 2 de la Geografía de Artemidoro de Éfeso. Esteban de Bizancio (siglo VI d.C.) escribe bajo el lema ̉Ιβηρίαι (Eth. epit. p. 324, 2-9 = Artemidor, Fr. 21 Stiehle): [texto griego] La cita se remonta a Aelio Herodiano (pros cath. II. Gramm. Graeci III 1, p. 288,27 Lentz; siglo II d.C.), y se introdujo más tarde en el epítome de Constantino Porfirogéneta (de adm. imp. 23; siglo X d.C.).

Artemidoro (12) vivió al final del siglo II y principio del I a.C. en Éfeso (13); su madurez coincidió con la 169ª olimpíada, es decir los años 104-101 a.C. (14) Viajó personalmente a las costas del Mediterráneo y a la costa atlántica hispánica hasta el Cabo San Vicente y aprovechó para su descripción de España, como sólo Polibio antes que él, los conocimientos adquiridos gracias a las conquistas de Roma (15). Su descripción de la tierra en 11 libros pasó a la posteridad con distintos títulos (περίπλους, τά γεωγραφούμενα, γεωγραφίας βιβλία). Esta descripción de la tierra era una fuente frecuentemente citada por autores posteriores (16); Artemidoro fue la principal autoridad para Estrabón, entre otros. El geógrafo Marciano de Heraclea Póntica poseía todavía en el siglo IV dC los 11 libros de Artemidoro

Artemidorus Daldianus, was a native of Ephesus, but is usually called Daldianus, to distinguish him from the geographer Artemidorus (Lucian, Philopatr. 22),

Should mention be made of Artemidorus in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar?[edit]

Should mention be made of Artemidorus in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar? He tries to warn JC about the conspirators (see Acts II:3 and III:1) and in some editions has lines in Act II:4 which in others are given to Soothsayer. It would seem that the name was chosen to signify a soothsayer.
