Date of birth 1872 or 1865[edit]

AHSL's father Charles Savage Landor married Esmerelda Armida Piselli ( -1915) on the 30th January 1866. They had children Alfred Humbert Hugh Savage Landor born at Florence on the 12th June 1867; Elfreda Esmerelda Julia Landor born on the 11th November 1869 who married Professor Cavaliere Francesco Mangioni founder of the National Institute for deaf and dumb children in Florence; Arnold Henry Savage Landor born at Florence in 1872 and probably another child Walter Savage Landor.

This information almost certainly derives from Burke's Landed Gentry, as Esmerelda was the holder of the Llanthony estate in 1937. AHSL also has an entry in "Who was Who". These sources will need to be checked. Motmit (talk) 08:24, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bad book title?[edit]

The bibliography lists The Adventures of an Explorer. I think that this is bogus. I can find no record of such a book anywhere, while Everywhere etc. is easily accessible. Copypasting[edit]

Large parrts of the article have been copy-pasted, sometimes with very minor changes, from http://www.florin.ms/hsleng.html (which has been cited as an external link in the article from the outset).
