Thirty Years War[edit]

The Imperial Army (Reichsarmee) did not participate in the Thirty Years War. Only the "personal" army of the Emperor did. In German, there is a linguistic difference between the army of the Empire (Reichsarmee) and the army of the Emperor as a prince among many (kaiserliche Armee), whereas this difference might be less visible in the English language. A native speaker should think about how to solve this problem. And then we should remove the sentence about the Imperial Army in the Thirty Years War because it did, as mentioned, not participate in it. -- Orthographicus (talk) 19:45, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I can only agree! In the German version of WP we just introduced a new article "Imperial Army (HRE)". We should find a translation for this in English too. --Grand Tour (talk) 23:19, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

that artical is talking about the imperial army of the Hapsburg's which was not totally related--173.63.7.27 (talk) 02:37, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
