Terrific work! You got me interested - did not mean to generate edit conflict. I was going to support your idea of the separate articles, so will read the discussion at the National Register project to understand the issues. No issue about the edit conflict! It happens and it was easily resolved anyway. I appreciate all the help I can get. From what I gathered from the discussion on the National Register project, to justify a separate article for the memorial, we mainly just need more specific information about the actual memorial site and what's located therein, which I'm sure can be found in http://www.nps.gov/history/history/online_books/arpo1/clr.pdf and a variety of other sources. John House's nomination form of the site is dated 1998 - he referred to Bearss' 1970s material, but had likely drawn from additional materials about the forts, settlements, etc. since that publication.
