TODO on this page:

  • description of maximal subgroups
  • add numerical experiments on the Laplace spectrum of the modular surface (Sarnak, Arithmetic quantum chaos)
  • some pages that are linked as "Main article" are not much more developed than the sections here (in particular Selberg's 1/4 conjecture and Quantum ergodicity, they should enhanced (possibly moving the content of this page there)
  • add more applications to number theory
  • add a section on Takeuchi's arithmeticity criterion and classification of arithmetic triangle groups

Is this wrong?[edit]

The section Isospectral surfaces contains this sentence:
