Untitled[edit]

The part of the article that is actually about Archer Blood is fine. I don't see a need for cleanup. But the second part of the page that is about Richard Sklar is off-topic! It needs to have a separate page. I don't see what this is doing in the Archer Blood page!

On Blood, a couple of important pieces of information are not mentioned. He was recalled due to his dissent. And the American consulate library in Dhaka has been named after him. The Richard Sklar part looked strange to me too, as I hadn't seen it the last time I checked the article. A careful look revealed that some one vandalized the Template:Poli-bio-stub today, and added the text on Richard Sklar. Since the stub text is inserted automatically into every article containing the template, this article ended up with the irrelevant text. I've fixed the template now. HEY - somebody who knows how to upload pictures could bring one over from another site - I studied under Blood at Allegheny in the early 1980s and he was a very decent man.

I'd see him with his wife in chapel on Sunday. One week a guest preacher went off on emphasizing a person's needs including having sex. Repeatedly talking about it, and Allegheny was not that liberal a college. I was with a buddy who also greatly respected Blood and after the service we went wild in front of Blood about how terrible the preacher was and how we couldn't believe they had chosen that point to harp on. Blood, a professional diplomat, said he hadn't been able to hear.

actually this is a irrelevant comment on this talk page, but i m surprised if this is true and still bangladesh continues to have excellent diplomatic relations with pakistan.

Well, these are documents from US Government's state department archives (link provided in the article, which points to http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB79/BEBB1.pdf ). Why Bangladesh *currently* has diplomatic relations with Pakistan is not relevant here. Anon claims[edit]

Perhaps someone should mention Archer Blood's links to the Indians which undoubtedly influenced his pathological hatred of West Pakistan. Blood is seen in many retrospective South Asian archives as having been on India's payroll. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.202.218.32 (talk • contribs)

Which "Archive"? If you mean in Pakistani defence forums, that's not considered a reliable source at all. Unless you back up your claim with reliable sources, it will simply look like a rant and personal attack sans any substance. --Ragib (talk) 16:32, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
