I've never been involved in copyright problems before, but I do have one observation to make. The policy appears to be to delete the entire page after seven days, but this will eliminate all page history up to the point of the copyright violation. In this case, that is a stub article I created on September 29th. No great loss, but as a general policy, I find I strange to delete an entire article, with history, because of tbe actions of a single copy-violator. Why not just revert back to the last legitimate edit? I would do this myself, except there is a big bold message telling me I shouldn't make an edit.

Anyway, in this case I will post the original stub on to the temporary subpage. - Crosbiesmith 10:36, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the policy is to delete the article and restore it to its non-copyvio state. The reason is so that there are no copyright violations whatsoever in the page history. Since you have rewritten the original stub, you basically did my work for me. :) howcheng {chat} 20:02, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
