I have removed the "how-to article" stamp for the following reasons:

1) Because the instructional aspect of this article is intended only to explain what apple dolls are, and is not sufficient to actually train an individual to make them. An instruction manual would require several paragraphs.

2) Additionally, given that the nature of apple dolls is one of craftsmanship, all the information in this article is necessary. Citing a similar example, it would be difficult to write an article about a medical procedure, without some degree of detail on how the procedure is performed.

Concerning the "verification needed" stamp, there are several instances of proof that apple dolls exist and are consistent enough in their nature to justify them having their own Wikipedia article. Although most of them are not 'reliable sources' as articles; collectively, they prove the existence of the phenomenon.

4 August 2019 expansion[edit]

I have removed the tags as I've substantially expanded the article and found references. I'm not a topic expert but I've done enough research to find some decent-quality sources. The URLs given on this talk page are all dead so I haven't added them to the article; however I have linked to an existing Wikipedia article on the related Skookum doll. --Pureriviera (talk) 07:56, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
