The western region of Aparanta would be somewhere in Gandhara (Afghanistan) or Eastern Iran, since the political center of India in the 1st century AD would have been located west of Delhi, and Buddhist India spanned between Gandhara and Bengal. The map shows the western region as Gujarat and Maharashtra, which is actually the western region of the Indian Republic rather than of Ancient India. 86.96.226.13 (talk) 07:59, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I created the map based on the description in the article, which says Aparanta "was a geographical region of ancient India, variously corresponding to the northern Konkan, northern Gujarat, Kathiawar, Kachch and Sindh." The map includes part of present-day Pakistan, specifically the Sindh. If the description changes I can change the map too. Sylvain1972 (talk) 13:30, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
