Dave Dee etc[edit]

Not a point of huge import, but I'm puzzled as to why Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich have been labelled a 'British Invasion' band. Firstly, while I don't dispute that the 'British Invasion' was a phenomenon, it existed purely from a US perspective – one that I don't see any rationale for applying in this particular article. Secondly, although DDDBMT had Top 20 and even Number One hits in several other countries, they barely scratched the surface of the US market, not scoring a single top 50 entry in the national charts (and only one in the Top 100). I would suggest that the most obvious description of DDDBMT is simply 'British pop group'.Grubstreet (talk) 09:21, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
