Slap Bass[edit]

Six String Bass[edit]

Fender released the Bass VI in 1961. Anthony Jackson would have been 9 years old. I am having trouble understanding how "His idea... precedes any modern six string bass by at least twenty years". Is this statement based on his choice of tuning? The statement is not accurate and not encyclopedic. It is a boast, and not true. I am confident that Mr. Jackson made many important developments to the electric bass, but building the original six string bass is not one of them. Rewrite?[edit]

The prose in this article smacks of people copying text into this article. Looking at it's history, it appears that other editors have waded through this but only removed one chunk of the article, which was just what I did. What a mess. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 00:20, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
