Anne Hughes' Diary - Farmer's Wife[edit]

Believed to be the diary of a farmer's wife in Herefordshire in the 18th century.

Anne Hughes' Diary was originally serialised in 'The Farmer's Weekly' in 1937, and later published in various book editions, most often under the title, ‘The Diary of a Farmer’s Wife 1796-1797’.

An adaptation was broadcast on BBC2 TV on 25th December 1978 and 14th April 1980
