I agree with the merge proposal.Shawn in Montreal 13:54, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Doesn't really matter which one becomes the redirect as long as all relevant info is merged. --Janke | Talk 06:33, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, rostrum camera is probably the most precise (and commonly used in the industry) name. Girolamo Savonarola 16:48, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that in the animation community, animation camera is the more common term (it sure is where I work, at the National Film Board of Canada). Maybe rostrum camera is more used outside the animation community...? Shawn in Montreal 16:29, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd go for "animation camera" as the main article. Others as redirects. --Janke | Talk 06:03, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merging with animation stand[edit]

They'e different. You use an animation camera without the stand when you shoot stop motion, such as puppet or clay animation. --Janke | Talk 13:26, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
