Pronunciation of name?

Does it sound like "toll" or "towel"? 75.3.115.173 17:54, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I believe it's "toll" based on a pronunciation heard in a LOGO interview/story rebroadcast on YouTube [1].

Impartiality question

Request for Deletion

Matt Sanchez/Bluemarine has a personal connection to the subject of this article. From Andy Towle's blog:

"I was shocked to see this story this morning, for the main reason that Matthew Sanchez and I met at a gay bar in San Jose, California and went on a few dates in 1989 when I was a graduate student at Stanford. I haven't seen him since. It was brought to my attention after we had finished dating that he had gone on to do gay adult films but I had no idea he had joined the military and was also holding hands with folks who would be so loath to accept him into their ranks had they any clue to his background."

How to end this redirection of the Towleroad (website) and re-establish separate Towleroad page. Has NOT been personal blog for 6 years. Multiple contributors and a trusted news site now.

It's not clear why the entry for our site, Towleroad, was disappeared and all queries for it redirected to Andy Towle. Andy was the founder and continues as the primary voice on the site, but over the past six years Towleroad has been much more than his personal blog. It's become and maintained it's position in the top 2 most consulted and trusted gay news sources anywhere. Since 2006, Andy and i have been equal partners in all aspects of running and owning the site, though my profile is significantly lower. We also employ many weekly contributors and draw on an even larger pool of occasional ones, all of whom continue to contribute to and are part of what Towleroad has grown into. Certainly that all took off from the voice Andy created and continues to perfect, but these days we have 4 weekly columnists in law, film, music, and theater. We have a daily round up post by our junior blogger; seasoned blogger Andrew Belonsky has covered the sites postings most Thursdays for the past few years, and we have had a few different bloggers covering blogging duties on Saturdays and Sundays. I can't figure out why this was done in the first place, but bottom line is that by any measure it is inaccurate and does not provide the information about the site that one would reasonably expect to find if one went searching for Towleroad in Wikipedia. Andy influences the editorial, and his is the predominant voice and he writes most posts 4 days a week, but to say that the writers on the other three days and the ones contributing columns are irrelevant to the site isn't appropriate. We'd be happy to work with someone and are happy to provide access to whatever documents or third party reporting might be interesting in getting an appropriate entry done, one that obviously credits Andy, but also recognizes the sties growth, success and range of voces that are having an impact on the userbase and the gay community (theree a ton out there. In addition to third party analytics, there's also been recent reference in publications including Newsweek, Washington Post, New York Times, New York Magazine, and many others.) . Let me knwo what i might do to move this forward. I found the support documents not totally clear on whether it's appropriate for us to transparently submit something in this situation, so thought i would post here. if that is preferable, just let me know. BLP vios

This article has been blatantly violating WP:BLP, one of Wikipedia's most stringent policies, since 2009, according to the tag at top.
