Is there a good reason to quote Lyne so extensively? Also, is it possible to get some reaction from his fellow physicists to his famous "3d possibility" announcement? (As I heard the story, he offered 3 possibilities: a new planet, an anomaly in the data, or a mistake...) Wasn't that around the same time Pons & Fleishman were doing "20/20"? Also, it should be noted Lyne has discovered more pulsars than any other scientist. Trekphiler 03:53, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I was present in person at Lyne's retraction talk at the AAS meeting, and I can confirm the ovation as one who participated in it, but that's unadmissible as COS here and I am unaware of a good reference. BSVulturis (talk) 16:28, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

More stuff on fr:[edit]

Added many stuff on fr: page, for those who would be interested. Alain r 13:32, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is completely irresponsible that, in this short page on Lyne, the goof gets so much billing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.29.77.101 (talk) 13:51, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
