Accident section ambiguity[edit]

The first paragraph of the section reads "During extraction of drums from the bottom of the pools, an accident occurred that might have cost two workers' lives.". The word might is very ambiguous here and leaves the entire section open to interpretation. Did the 2 workers eventually die from radiation induced effects?
