"Dodgy stuff"[edit]

You need to provide much, much better sources. Her involvement in the Avon bribery thing is not clear, and absolutely should not be mentioned just to make her look bad. That's a violation of Wikipedia's policies, and also pretty dodgy itself. Grayfell (talk) 02:45, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Andrea Jung (鍾彬嫻, pinyin: Zhōng Bīnxián, jyutping: zung1 ban1 haa4) (born 1958)[1][2] is a Canadian-American executive, non-profit leader, and prominent women's-issues supporter. In April, 2014, she became President and CEO of Grameen America, a nonprofit microfinance organization founded by Nobel Peace Prize winner, Muhammad Yunus.[3] Grameen is the fastest growing microfinance organization in the United States, providing the largest number of microfinance loans to individuals and small businesses.[4] From 1999 until 2012, she served as the first female CEO and Chairwoman of Avon Products, Inc., a direct-sales company, often noted as a "legal Pyramid scheme".[5] Jung was also the first woman to serve as Chairman of the Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Association, and Chairman of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations. However, direct selling became illegal in 2005,[6] in Jung's parents country of origin, P.R. China. Avon was only recently granted a Chinese business license through selling only cosmetics (and guanxi).[7][8] Jung and other executives in the company were dogged by accusations of corruption from Chinese officials.[9]
