I do not see upon what basis Commandant Cholesky can be considered a French-Ukranian mathematician. He was French, that is all. If you wish to draw attention to the fact that his family was of Ukranian origin, that is one thing. But he was a French born son of immigrants from (what was then) Poland. The designation French-Ukranian is not justified, well meaning though it may be. Encyclops (talk) 14:50, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
