BCS champions in 2007 and 2011 were LSU and Alabama[edit]

According to the 2020 NCAA book (p 119), the BCS champions in 2007 and 2011 were LSU and Alabama, respectively. Yet the table in the article shows the selections for 2007 as Missouri and for 2011 as LSU. This is in conflict with the footnote in the 2020 NCAA book which states, “All ‘major selectors’ not otherwise listed also selected the BCS champion as its highest ranked team in those seasons. In years where a ‘major selector’ had a team other than the BCS champion as highest ranked team in its final poll that team is listed below the BCS champion.” Is this article wrong, or is the NCAA book wrong? The NCAA book is wrong. The NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision Records book lists Anderson & Hester (A&H) as having selected LSU,[1]: 119  while A&H's official website gives Missouri as its 2007 selection. And the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision Records book lists Anderson & Hester (A&H) as having selected Alabama,[1]: 119  while A&H's official website gives LSU as its 2011 selection.Jeff in CA (talk) 09:00, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Need source for 1997 selection of Nebraska[edit]

The A&H selection for 1997 is not given in the 2020 NCAA book,[1] and the BCS began in 1998. Jeff in CA (talk) 09:02, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
