Sister peak with Illampu?[edit]

Are Ancohuma and Illampu just two peaks of the same mountain? When I compare their locations in Google Earth, they sure look like it. If so, the article should say so. Or does one of the articles have the coordinates wrong? —MiguelMunoz (talk) 23:14, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the coordinates are good, or at least quite close to correct. The peaks are close together, but Illampu is definitely a separate peak. (I'm not sure of its topographic prominence, however.) Note that on Google Earth Illampu is rendered very inaccurately as a flattish hump---it is actually a steep peak, but the relevant data is not at all accurate in GE. -- Spireguy (talk) 23:54, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Janq'u UmaAncohuma – Mover per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Mountains#Naming_conventions, where it says "Articles should be named according to the most common name for a mountain. That name is Cordillera Quimsa Cruz. Compare for example the hits of the spellings in Google news or normal Google. –Dentren | Talk 15:43, 31 January 2016 (UTC) Dentren | Talk 15:43, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
