Article draws too heavily from the suspiciously linked book review[edit]
It seems to me that the content of this article is mostly taken from the book review linked at the bottom - a review which is simultaneously extremely pretentious and grossly uninformed. The author of the article gets many details about the novel wrong - a very cursory reading reveals that even basic plot points are presented backwards or just plain wrong. For example, the review suggests that the protagonist first worked for Master Takeda and then Moriyama, when in fact the opposite was true. Additionally, the review suggests that two of the protagonist's most famous works were "Complacency" and "Eyes on the Horizon". If the reviewer had actually taken the time to read the book carefully (or perhaps at all), he would know that "Complacency" was essentially an early draft of "Eyes on the Horizon", and it was seen by no more than three people. These concerns may seem trivial, but ultimately they are emblematic of a disregard for the novel as well as a blatant attempt to use Wikipedia as a personal advertisement. At the very least, this article should be removed from the page (and I plan to do so). Moreover, I would recommend a total rewrite of the article based on actual in-text sources and published reviews. Sorry if this is out of line - I am new to editing, but thought that this page does a disservice to the novel.

A draft article, Draft: An Artist of the Floating World, was just submitted to Articles for Creation. It had to be declined because we already have an article (this article) on the novel.
