Untitled[edit]

Nice article, but I have couple small problems as follows:

This quote: "Rod Keeling, the head of the new governing body that was the ABA company pilot who rose to the rank of Vice President of Marketing" is confusing. Would "Rod Keeling, former ABA VP Marketing, who first joined ABA as a pilot, was the head of the new governing body."

This "This tactic was not new to Mr. Hill. He led a one man boycott of the ABA during the 1980 season" is confusing as well. If it's a one-man boycott it wouldn't be "led" since no one else is in it. Could this be clarified?

"With that the Pro Spectaculars went out in a blaze of controversy. 1985 was the last Pro Spectacular series ever." Yet I've been to the Pro Spectacular race for the last six years. Again, could this be clarified?

Finally, there's a tiny bit of editorializing at various points.

But again and overall, a really nice article. I'll acknowledge this stuff is minor.

This article needs to be re-written to reflect the new rules, classes, and standards of USA BMX. Much of the article also includes trivial information that is not pertinent to the subject matter such as the lengthy background on disputes, history, and biographies. Much the article is now "was" and not "is." Also, the article reads with bias and some "chest pounding."

I think this is now historical[edit]

Bankruptcy 1985[edit]

My point is I see nothing on aba filing bankruptcy. I know for a fact the #1 pro won $50.000 by winning pro spectacular an national #1 Ronnie Anderson did that but was told they couldn't pay him because they started the Hall of Fame. Godssonwon23 (talk) 08:53, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Major rewriting and rearranging[edit]

At this time I have deleted a lot of very long, story-like information. I have created new sections and rearranged information, but I'm not finished. I stopped at the Pro Spectaculars section, and you can see from there on the type of excess material needing to be deleted. I hope to get back to this article, and I'll update the Talk section if I do with what I was able to do and with what's still to be resolved.

Issues still to be resolved: 1. The History section is not complete since I didn't finish the article.

2. Additional information about each entity in the Competing Organizations needs to be added.

3. The section ABA Actions to Relieve Boycott needs additional copyediting, especially the last paragraph. I just rearranged things into this new section.

4. Rewriting/rearranging and massive deletions are still to be done, starting with Pro Spectaculars.

5. Additional citations and links are needed.

I think that's all! Susan.Uttendorfsky (talk) 16:03, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Per the previous Talk entry, I have now completed what I call "developmental editing" up to the section entitled "The USBA, Resignation, and Bankruptcy."
Issues still to be resolved:
1. The History section is not complete since I didn't finish the article.
2. Additional information about each entity in the Competing Organizations needs to be added.
3. The section ABA Actions to Relieve Boycott needs additional copyediting, especially the last paragraph. I just rearranged things into this new section.
4. Rewriting/rearranging and massive deletions are still to be done, starting with The USBA, Resignation, and Bankruptcy.
5. Additional citations and links are needed. Sections were noted where a lot of the information is uncited.
I am finished now with this edit. Please let me know if you have any questions or problems! And I appreciate the opportunity to help.

Go for it! :) Susan.Uttendorfsky (talk) 14:29, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Susan.Uttendorfsky Was there an area you needed focus on more than the other? Hawkeyez1989 (talk) 22:32, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I listed a bunch after my last edit: : Issues still to be resolved:
1. The History section is not complete since I didn't finish the article.
2. Additional information about each entity in the Competing Organizations needs to be added.
3. The section ABA Actions to Relieve Boycott needs additional copyediting, especially the last paragraph. I just rearranged things into this new section.
I don't know if you're into writing or editing. If writing, then #1 and #2 would be best. :) Susan.Uttendorfsky (talk) 14:34, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Susan.Uttendorfsky sorry for the slow response. Been out on vacation and then spring cleaning. I can pop into the history section a bit this week though. I know there is a lot of work to be done. I started a little bit on it back in February. I'll start on your #1 though. Hawkeyez1989 (talk) 17:48, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! That's the beauty of Wiki. If you don't get to it, someone else will, eventually. :) Susan.Uttendorfsky (talk) 13:34, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Susan.Uttendorfsky Another thing that I also love about the Wiki-editing world. Hawkeyez1989 (talk) 20:07, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
