Husband[edit]

Why is the reference to her husband being a disbarred company director, and the national news story about his mismanagement of client funds being continually removed? There is nothing contentious or unverifiable about this fact. It sits perfectly well in the Personal Life section, or should we add a separate section specifically to mention it? It's certainly a point of national interest given that Amanda Solloway has now been appointed as an under-secretary to the same department that disbarred her husband.

The article's not about her husband so shouldn't have any relevance to her position as an under-secretary. I know the media may want to make it so, but his actions are not her actions. I've reverted this again for now, but if it were to be included then perhaps it's worth mentioning when he was barred from being a director rather than just saying he is currently prevented from being one. The present has a tendency to become the past, and presumably there's a timeframe for when his ban ends. You could say something like "In 20__ he was barred from being a company director for __ years, because [give reason if known]". Hope this helps. Also I'm not sure if we can use Companies House as a reference, but perhaps someone else can shed some light on that. This is Paul (talk) 20:10, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
