Seems the article is about alum shale in general, but the formation infobox and paleofauna bit are about the Alum Shale as a specific geologic formation. The references used also appear to be referring to the formation. Therefor seems it should be rewritten discussing the Alum Shale formation with the brief bits about alum bearing shales in general perhaps moved to a section in the general shale article - which seems to be lacking a black shale section and has no mention of alum. Only just found this. The Alum shale is a Cambrian to Ordovician organic rich shale found in southern Scandinavia, which has attracted attention as having some potential for Shale Gas - Shell carried out a thorough study on it, but didn't go any further. The Alum Shale Member in contrast is part of the Lower Jurassic Whitby Mudstone Formation, found unsurprisingly near Whitby in northeastern England, and is completely unrelated, so I've removed all the content referring to that.
