The Magician's Assistant[edit]

I've added one sentence about Ann Patchett's novel The Magician's Assistant, which is largely set in Alliance. Since this bit of information is not about a feature of the town itself, but rather about media related to the town, I didn't think it belonged in the first section of the article. So I created a brief section entitled "In Fiction" specifically for this fact. If someone can think of a better way to incorporate The Magician's Assistant into the article, s/he should certainly go ahead and do so. But I do think the fact that a work by an award-winning novelist takes place in Alliance is noteworthy enough to deserve mention in this article someplace. 76.169.250.149 01:42, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Frank[reply]

Alliance Wiki[edit]

I would like to request that an impartial third party add the link http://www.alliancewiki.info/ to the Alliance, NE page if you find this to be a valid source of information. It is an open wiki. However, it is currently being updated by members of the community of Alliance, NE and it DOES contain information above and beyond that which is located in the Alliance, Nebraska Article. It contains a much more detailed history of Alliance along with a directory of businesses. 2021 Park renovation[edit]

Beautiful updates with white pillar lined park square (rectangle shape), new stonework floor, planters and a stage area. 2 old grotto-type out croppings and preserved stone walls. Ancient looking walnut trees. Lush grasses, picnic and play area.
