William Clive Bridgeman - consensus about first name used?[edit]

I note that William Clive Bridgeman, who unsuccessfully opposed Bright at Oswestry by election in 1904 then became MP for Oswestry in 1906, is consistently referred to in this article as Clive Bridgeman (it being his second Christian name inspired apparently by his mother's family surname) but in the article on the 1904 Oswestry by-election he is addressed as William. Was there a name he preferentially addressed himself as that was readily used by friends etc, in the way that a later James Harold Wilson became addressed as Harold?Cloptonson (talk) 06:36, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
