Death[edit]

My sources say he died on 27 February 2013, can we get a citation? (My source is from long-time hobbyists of Diplomacy) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.188.67.222 (talk) 02:08, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've found two news articles, one in French and one in Italian; but they're both gamer websites. I can't access the French one, but the Italian one says "25 febbraio". --Orange Mike | Talk 16:16, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
"lundi dernier"="last Monday" in French article. His daughter also gave the date of Monday in an email sent to Edi Birsan. The error is maybe because this mail was sent on Wednesday. GabrieL (talk) 16:41, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think the article that referenced his death being on the 27th was the one on the Diplomatic Pouch homepage, which has since been rectified. Excepting the ones which were quoting the previous article, everything else I've found says 25th. 90.218.59.17 (talk) 18:17, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mail carrier[edit]

It's all good and fine, that the info about his profession is in the Wikipedia entry. But in the introduction? He is not in the Wikipedia because of this. Imagine an article about Franz Kafka beginning with: "He was an insurance officer, and (by the way) author of 'The Trial'." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.111.64.1 (talk) 10:37, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
