Tidying up[edit]

The last few lines need some tweaking

'On December 16, 1916, (O.S.) the Duma was closed for Christmas till 28 December (29 December till January 9, 1917 N.S.). On that day' - which?

solved.Taksen (talk) 18:55, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

'Trepov probably was a curator at the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, where he met the Tsar on February 1, 1917': what is the basis or origin of the 'probably'? Jackiespeel (talk) 17:53, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pares mentioned it, but there are no other sources confirming it, so I put the probably there.Taksen (talk) 18:53, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Figes[edit]

Dear Simon, Rasputin and Alexandra were attacked in the Duma on November 1, 1916 by Milyukov. Two weeks later by Purishkevich. Stürmer, a protégé, had to step down, and Trepov, an enemy of Rasputin, took over. No way, Rasputin's prestige went up in the last two months, certainly not in what would be his last week. Either you misread, or Figes and Pipes are wrong.Taksen (talk) 18:47, 29 August 2016 (UTC) Not everything that is printed is true.Taksen (talk) 18:51, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
