The conclusion of the article seems a bit overskeptical to me, as inv.1358 from the Acropolis Museum in Athens is the original of the group representing Procne and Itys mentioned by Pausanias. Plus, the Leaning Aphrodite is commonly considered as the statue of “Aphrodite in the Gardens” mentioned by Plinus, Pausanias and Lucian. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 20:23, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
