Suburb[edit]

I live in this suburb in the City of Shellharbour, Albion Park Rail is NOT a suburb of Wollongong, whoever thinks it is, is not familiar with NSW geography — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xposya (talkcontribs) 10:11, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just because you live in it doesn't mean you know it. As you have said City of Shellharbour which is an Local Government Area, not a "City" as it is part of the Wollongong metropolitan area which has a number of LGA's (like Newcastle and Sydney). Bidgee (talk) 10:21, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shellharbour is a city you muppet, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xposya (talkcontribs) 11:40, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

this is ridiculous, so suburbs of cities become suburbs of another city that is near it that are bigger because someone does not understand the area

shellharbour is a city that is located south of wollongong

people like you will render wikipedia useless and incorrect — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xposya (talkcontribs) 11:44, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shellharbour is like Blacktown which is a suburb of Sydney metropolitan area. Shellhabour is an LGA and suburb of the Wollongong metropolitan area. Bidgee (talk) 11:50, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Except that "Wollongong metropolitan area" is not well-defined, and the Mayor of Wollongong has no jurisdiction over Shellharbour or Albion Park Rail, except as the entirely hypothetical official host of the 2044 Wollongong Olympic Games, some of the events of which might actually occur in Shellharbour LGA.Lathamibird (talk) 00:46, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
