Work to be done[edit]

Is anyone else interested in working on this? Because I'm not sure where to start.

Yes definitely. By the way, please sign off your comments with ~~~~. Thanks! Madder 14:33, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deadline extended[edit]

  • I have extended the deadline by six months. Hektor 15:42, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WPCities rating[edit]

Normally a place of this size would be "importance=low", but its prominence through the 1992 Olympics, IMO, merits "mid". Folks at 137 (talk) 19:34, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some more points about importance:

  • it is the next bigger town on the way to a few really huge skiing resorts - 3 Valleys, Plagne/Arcs and Val d'Isere/Tignes. It probably has some role in serving the infrastructure for the 60-100.000 skiers there.
  • its on one of the access paths to the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Richiez (talk) 21:30, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sous - préfecture[edit]

Albertville is actually a "sous-péfecture", a Sub-Prefecture. It depends directly on the Savoie Prefecture. http://www.savoie.gouv.fr/Services-de-l-Etat/Prefecture-et-sous-prefectures/Sous-prefecture-d-Albertville

This stuff can be used in the page.

Nice work, by the way — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.17.73.55 (talk) 04:37, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notable people from Albertville[edit]

Just as a suggestion, Baron Eugène Pierre Perrier de la Bâthie, for whom the Iris perrieri was named]], was in the Did you know... on the Main Page for 17 December 2015. Dick Kimball (talk) 17:52, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
