Comments[edit]

I just want to know if anyone has any detailed information on the HISTORY of Alberta. I know it's the latest. I know it's called "White Night" on the last Thursday (by the Alberta locals) when the Arts Fair deal is going on.

Anyone have any more detail on its PAST?

Thanks

GLBT...Well, mostly L[edit]

The article fails to mention a lot of GLBT, mainly lesbians, live in the Alberta district. If anybody has a problem with my adding mention of this to the article, explain why, otherwise I'm adding it eventually. --RyanTee82 (talk) 07:12, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem, but it needs to be cited using reliable sources (that is, it can't be original research), and only if you think it's as notable as, say, Burnside Triangle. Maybe Just Out has done a piece on the area? Katr67 (talk) 07:19, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

page move to Alberta Arts District (Portland)[edit]

Proposal: Creation of page Alberta Arts District (Portland, Oregon), then move Alberta Street, Portland, Oregon Gaff ταλκ 13:06, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You might have allowed more than one minute and 56 seconds for interested editors to find this proposal and comment. Seven days is a typical waiting period.
The article does seem to be mostly about the neighborhood and not the street. Perhaps the bits about the street can be revised to reflect the new focus. —EncMstr (talk) 23:09, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved. A hatnote can be added if there are any other areas known by that name. Number 57 20:03, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alberta Arts District (Portland, Oregon)Alberta Arts District – as per WP:CONCISE - there's only one Alberta Arts District. Red Slash 00:28, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. I'm guessing the disambiguation was added in case there was confusion with Alberta, Canada, but there appears to be no district in Alberta with that name. Zarcadia (talk) 16:04, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment there are arts districts in Alberta, Arts District in Edmonton, Alberta for instance. -- 70.51.46.146 (talk) 03:30, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak Oppose, Oregon is one place, Alberta is another. The removal of the location information may cause confusion. Its as bad as giving the name space Budweiser to a beer not produced in "Budweis". Yes I'm a sore loser lol :) Gregkaye 17:11, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. In response to the last two comments, Alberta Arts District is a proper name (and capitalized); are any of the arts districts in Alberta known by that name? A hatnote should be more than sufficient, personally I don't think it's necessary but it's a reasonable compromise. Zarcadia (talk) 19:57, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
