Whatever happened to Kensington Jr High?[edit]

I went to Kensington Jr High from 1971 to 1972 after moving back to the area from three years in Hawaii. I've since graduated from (another school that has closed-- Charles W. Woodward High School) and then moved to Texas. I later found out in the late 80's that Kensington Jr High had closed.

www.publicschoolreview.com seems to be the source for this page — word for word. Marrante (talk) 13:45, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The site says Source: Wikipedia, so it seems to be the other way round.--Boson (talk) 20:03, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it's the other way around. DAK4Blizzard (talk) 04:05, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

May I please edit my school Albert Einstein High School wiki page?

AEHS (talk) 15:18, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: It doesn't work that way. I will explain on your talk page. Thanks, Celestra (talk) 17:13, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Rivalry"[edit]

So, user Templeonu recently edited the page, claiming that Einstein's rival was Northwood. Having graduated in 2009, and being invested in sports, it has always seemed to me that Einstein has no serious rivalries. We kinda have a rivalry with all the DCC schools, like Blair, Kennedy, and, yes, Northwood. But they're not mutually held (at least that what my friends who went to those schools tell me). So unless something drastic has happened in the last 3 years that I haven't heard about, none of those rivalries is serious enough to be specially mentioned in the infobox. Templeonu, what're your thoughts? acomas (talk) 03:53, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Will then I think it's great that you're helping out Einstein is a fantastic school and others should know more about it.The rivalry is not important anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Templeonu (talkcontribs) 23:19, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

That history section of the Albert Einstein High School Wikipedia is a complete joke and needs to be remove immediately. Seeing that remind me why I telll my children that Wikipedia is not a reliable source. Lawper (talk) 22:08, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

WP:SOFIXIT, but please note the existing content is well sourced, so please do not remove it unless you have sources that contradict the existing content. The purpose of this encyclopedia article is to record and summarize what has been written about the school in reliable sources. Feel free to find some and bring them here if you would like help. This article is not for the school. Negative sourced information is fine. Of course so is positive sourced info. John from Idegon (talk) 23:39, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I only found one resource from WTOP that support the term “ Crimestein”. I had 2 kids go to Einstein and I’ve have never heard that term until now. I did further research and apparently all MCPS high schools have nickname. “Whitman” is “Whiteman” “Northwood is “Northweed” “Blair” is “Blajauana” so why not include those names with those schools history? Yes I admit the history is well researched but names that silly students from rival schools came up with is just distasteful. If we are going to include nicknames then it should be applied to all schools. Lawper (talk) 01:31, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Really? Please cite your sources, and explain why, based on policy, we need to include anything in any other article in order to include something here? John from Idegon (talk) 01:50, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Visual Art Center/ Flash Mobs[edit]

Einstein has the crown jewel VAC in there basement. There should be an section for it. The Dance program also has done Flash-mobs which have gone viral. Lawper (talk) 15:10, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Anything added must be paraphrased from reliable sources and you must demonstrate via sourcing that the addition is of much wider interest than the school and its community. Also everything must be written in a neutral tone. "Crown jewelry" is not a term we'd be using unless the majority of significant sources used it also. This isn't Facebook and this isn't the school's page on Wikipedia. John from Idegon (talk) 15:40, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Visual and Performing Arts Academy and Visual Art Center[edit]

I’ve seen a lot of creditable articles praising these programs, if I find them and paste them on here can we make sub divisions for them? MelissaG1358 (talk) 02:17, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
